About the Role
Are you passionate about building community and supporting a mission rooted in disability justice? Mad & Crip Theology Press is looking for a friendly, organized Events Volunteer to help us with virtual and in-person events. Whether you’ve done event planning before or are just excited to dive in and learn, we’d love to have you on the team!
What You'll Do:
-Help brainstorm and organize events like book launches, webinars, and community discussions
-Support with scheduling, contacting speakers, and making sure everything runs smoothly
-Work with the team to spread the word about events through social media and emails
-Pitch in on event day, helping with things like managing Zoom or coordinating attendees
-After the event, help gather feedback and share highlights with the team
Time Commitment:
Flexible, about 8 hours per month, up to 12 hours/month when we have an event. We do everything in crip time around here, so we will all work together and support each other :-)
This is a fun and meaningful way to support Mad & Crip Theology Press while gaining experience in event organizing.
Requirements
Someone who is organized and enjoys bringing ideas to life
No need for event planning experience—just a willingness to jump in and learn
Comfort with using Zoom and social media would be helpful, but we can show you the ropes!
A passion for creating accessible and inclusive spaces is a big plus
