Our Current Initiatives

1. Upcoming Anthology: Our Disability Theologies: Body-Minds and God-Talk

Our groundbreaking two-volume anthology, "Our Disability Theologies: Body-Minds and God-Talk," brings together diverse voices to explore how experiences of disability shape our understanding of the divine. Editors Naomi and Amy have curated a collection featuring contributions from nearly 45 disabled authors, spanning Christian, Muslim, Jewish, and Hindu faith traditions. This anthology embraces intersectional perspectives, including trans and queer experiences, and approaches theology through the lens of lived experience. It covers a wide range of topics, from liberationist perspectives to disability-informed God-talk, taking seriously the idea that lived experience is an authentic source of theological insight. By centering disabled voices and experiences, our anthology aims to enrich and challenge traditional theological discourse. Scheduled for publication in Fall 2025, it will be available in paperback, e-book, and audiobook formats, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of readers. We invite you to join us in amplifying these important voices and perspectives in theology and spirituality, contributing to a more inclusive and diverse theological landscape.

At Mad & Crip Theology Press, we believe in the power of community learning and shared experiences. Our workshop program brings together members of the disability community every few months to explore topics of vital importance to our lives and experiences. Led by disabled and Mad individuals, these workshops create a unique space for open dialogue, mutual support, and collective growth. We cover a diverse range of subjects, all chosen for their relevance to our community's needs and interests. Our workshops are more than just educational events; they're opportunities to forge connections, build understanding, and create a stronger, more empowered disability community. Why Your Support Matters

Mad & Crip Theology Press began as a simple idea at a kitchen table and has grown into a heartfelt initiative (that's still run from the kitchen table!). We're a grassroots Press led by Mad and disabled individuals, dedicated to exploring and sharing diverse perspectives on theology and spirituality. Your support helps us create a space where often-overlooked voices can contribute to conversations about faith, spirituality, and lived experience. Each publication we produce, workshop we organize, and dialogue we encourage is a step towards a more inclusive understanding of theology and spirituality.

By partnering with us, you're joining a community of individuals who are working from their homes and hearts to bring about positive change. Your support enables us to continue this important work, reaching more people and broadening the scope of theological and spiritual discourse.

Together, we can ensure that the insights of disabled theologians and spiritual thinkers are heard and valued. Your support helps us share these perspectives more widely - in study groups, places of worship, and educational settings.

Thank you for considering a partnership with Mad & Crip Theology Press. Your support plays a vital role in our mission to enrich the landscape of theology and spirituality with diverse voices and experiences!
